This variety can be eaten raw or lightly steamed. Has attractive purple spears and reliably good yields.

 

As a hardy perennial plant, it’s ideal for the kitchen garden, just needs a full sun position. It heights up to 150cm (59in) and spreads up to 45cm (18in).
